AI in recruitment: what if we stopped making it so complicated?

Recrutement Responsable

Spoiler alert: artificial intelligence won’t steal your job. However, those who know how to use it intelligently will surpass you.

The real question is no longer “Should we use AI?” (the answer is yes). It’s more like: how can we integrate it without losing our soul and our efficiency?

What we do with AI (and why it changes everything)

At Agence Charlie, we’ve made a decision: AI is our assistant, never our boss.

The result? We save hours every week on:

  • Generating ideas and structuring content
  • Proofreading and improving texts
  • Quick translations (validated by humans, of course)
  • Formatting documents
  • Automated meeting reports

The benefit? More time for what really matters: analyzing, listening, deciding. And no machine can do that better than a well-equipped human.

The new game of cat and mouse

Let’s be honest: candidates also use AI. Ultra-optimized resumes, generated interview answers, tests completed with a little technological help… We’ve already seen profiles that are so well crafted that they become… fictitious.

The problem? When the employer’s ATS meets the candidate’s AI-generated resume, you end up with a perfect match on paper… and total disappointment in the interview.

The real question: if we automate recruitment, how far do we accept candidates automating their applications?

Why headhunting has never been more relevant

In a world saturated with AI, direct human conversation becomes a major competitive advantage. No forms. No automated filters. Just a real discussion to assess the true fit between a person, a role, and a corporate culture.

Simple. Effective. Human.

Our guideline: when to say yes, when to say no

We say YES to AI for:

  • Taking notes and summarizing our meetings
  • Supporting strategic thinking (research, monitoring, brainstorming)
  • Refining our written communications
  • Quick translation (with systematic human validation)

We remain VIGILANT about:

  • Automated CV sorting
  • Pre-selection decisions entrusted to AI
  • Processing sensitive information
  • Automated interviews or chatbots replacing recruiters
  • Anything that distances humans from the final decision
  • The challenge of augmented intelligence

AI should make us more human, not less. More available to listen. More strategic in our decisions. More effective in our actions.

Not the opposite.

What about you? Where do you draw the line? Which uses of AI save you valuable time… and which ones make you want to hit “pause”?
